Overview
Oakwood Capital Inc. launched a mobile app for micro-loans and BNPL services, targeting Mongolia’s growing fintech market. The app required a modern, intuitive interface that would enable users to easily apply for loans, manage repayments, and track their credit in real-time. The project involved both UX/UI design and illustration to enhance user engagement.

The Challenge
The main challenge was designing a financial app that felt simple and trustworthy to users unfamiliar with digital lending products. The app also needed to clearly communicate key information — such as available balance, repayment terms, and deadlines — in a way that reduced cognitive load and friction.
The Solution
I created a clean, mobile-first interface that prioritized clarity, usability, and trust: - Dashboard view of loan balance and available credit - Intuitive call-to-action buttons (Borrow, Repay, Extend) - Simple repayment flow with transparent terms - Minimalist visual style with soft color palette for better readability -Custom illustrations for onboarding screens
The Result
The app successfully launched after a 7-week design sprint (November 3 – December 20, 2022). Outcomes included: - High user adoption at launch - Positive user feedback for app clarity and ease of use - Increased transaction volume in the first 3 months post-launch
